The 24 Hour Digital Clock devices obtain accurate time from an internal intranet based ntp time server or from an Internet based Network Time Protocol NTP time server.
The 24 hour Digital Wall Clock device are highly configurable via a password protected telnet session across the network. All the installed 24 hour digital clock units can therefore be configured across the network from a single PC. Initially, the devices only require the IP address or DNS name of a time server to operate. However, there are many more configurable parameters to tailor the clock to specific needs. Options such as 12 or 24 hour operation, time zone and DST options are all configurable.

For low installation costs, the 24 hour digital wall clock device uses PoE (Power-over-Ethernet), the same as IP telephones. This means that no mains outlet is required at the location where the clock is to be sited.
